When I bought this guitar I was told it was a Greco neck on a Fender Contemporary body made in Japan

Awesome guitar from 1978. Greco LP custom. I'm not sure of the model number this is the closest thing to a gibson that you could get. Has some hot P-90's in it. It plays and sounds amazing. Curiously enough the switch is only wired one pickup or the other at a time I'm not sure if it was done intentionally or needs a switch. lol. It never stopped me, I've been playing it that way for many years!! Check out my other lefty guitars!!

This came from a 1972 Jedson Jet that I parted out. Also used on other Matsumoku made guitars - Aria, Univox, Shaftesbury etc - but also some other early japanese solid bodies - maybe Greco, Ibanez etc. It's quite distinct - look at the pics and you'll know whether you need it

I have had this for years and frankly don't recall precisely which bass it came from. Has some wear as to be expected from a 50+ year old part, but generally in pretty good shape. Reads 9 98K. The electronics and pickups certainly suggest Korea rather than Japan, despite the sticker on the headstock. I think it's a 1974. I've tried to take photos of the guitar to the best I can. It has signs of ware all over with some heavier cracks or checking on the back. The condition of the body is what makes it desirable because of the vintage look and the years it took to get there. The finish on the fretboard has been removed. 1981 vintage Greco Spacey Sound SE 500 guitar pickguard loaded loaded with its own original alnico pickups, 5-ways CRL pickup switch selector, harness, 250k pots, knobs, etc, as shown in pictures. Some scuffs on the pickguard and some rust onto the top of the pickup rods. The tip of the pickup switch selector is held in place by a little piece of adhesive tape because it has got a crack and was too loose.
On my multimeter the pickups measure like this;
