This Fender Champion lap steel was made in the USA in 1953. This guitar is mostly original but the knobs, 1 pot, and the buttons on the tuners are not. The pickup is original but has been rewound. This guitar is in very good playing condition and it sounds incredible. It comes with the original soft case

This is a 1952 Fender Champion Model Lap Steel Electric Guitar made in Fullerton, California. It has a yellow pearloid finish with a hardwood body and includes the original case. It was recently professionally hand-wired by J R. Burns Stringed Instrument Repair Co. in Homewood, AL. It shows some general wear overall, with minor scratches on the body. It has three small nicks (pictured) in the finish next to the jack and corrosion on the headplate and bridge cover. See photos for condition ... more

Fender Champ Lap Steel with tweed case. The potentiometers date to 1958. The pickup sounds fantastic, excellent 1950's Fender tone. New Kluson tuners were installed to replace the originals that had dryrotting tuner buttons (common issue). We are selling this previously owned Vintage Fender Champion Lap Steel 6 String Guitar Yellow Pearl that is in good physical and working condition with some scuffs and scratches from normal use and age. This Lapsteel guitar comes in its original case which as you can see is in rough condition and with one broken latch. It seems as if the pick up was changed but i am not sure about that but we uploaded pictures. This item comes as shown in pictures.
