Mid 50??s Fender Studio Deluxe Lap Steel. Replaced tuning keys. Period correct fretboard. Small nail holes where another fretboard was installed . All original electronics. Desert sand color with a tweed case. Great legs that work well. This steel plays well and sounds great especially in a C6 tuning for that old time country sound. For sale is this very cool 60s Guyatone double lapsteel. This came from the estate of a country western bluegrass musician here in SWKS. Ive done my best to describe it below! Please read carefully!
Overall this is in nice condition. There is some cosmetic issues (see pics). But everything looks pretty good!This only has two legs. I plugged this in and tested it. Fender? Tweed lap steel guitar case from 1950s or 1960s with Greg Stritch's name stenciled on the top. It looks like the tweed covering Fender frequently used but there's no logo indicating that. The exterior shows wear and cigarette burns. The hinges and locks work well. The interior is very clean with only minor wear. This was my dad's steel guitar. Serial Number 2391 dates to 1950-1952 and these are considered very rare. Original case. Very early and rare example of the dual 8's steel guitar. My dad bought this new when he was 13 and traveled the usa with his brothers and their band The Rhythm Boys. It works perfectly.
