Vintage 1971 Epiphone 6830e acoustic / electric guitar, top of the line Epiphone for sale. It has the typical flawed area on the back of the body you find on these old bolt-on neck models. Examine the last photo. The laminated wood is wavy and there are top cracks, where the back of the neck meets the cut out area on the body. The spruce top has minor damaged area on the right side.

This guitar was found in the basement of a closed down music store in rough condition. The celluloid pick guard had melted and dripped onto and bubbled the finish, the celluloid binding was badly cracked and falling off, the original nut was missing, and the neck had a crack near the headstock. A lot of work went into repairing and restoring it to its current, very playable state. 60's Epiphone acoustic made in the Kalamazoo, Michigan factory. Refinished. Fretboard extension is detached at the 14th fret, though it has been glued in place. Bridge seems to have been replaced at some point. Neck reset was started but never completed. Pickguard is missing, Headstock logo has been painted over. Small amount of overspray on the upper sides (picture 14). Heavy fret wear and replacement tuners. Comes with original solid chipboard case.

bear with me because this is slightly complex
go back two owners, this guy wanted to play fretless, so he removed the frets, you may be aware though that frets actually play a part in keeping the neck straight, the tang of the fret that goes into the fretboard helps push the fingerboard outward which counters the pressure to bow the neck, take the frets away, the fretboard goes all over the place
