Not a re-issue!! I purchased this guitar from a seller onReverb. He purchased a number of 1960??s Hofners Club 40 guitars in the late1970??s and had them ever since. Got the year 1962 on this one from the Hofnersite. It could possibly be a 1963 however I do not think they were continuedinto ?63. I believe this is a 1974 although I'm not certain. When I  bought this it had an issue. Someone had painted it. So I sent it to the shop and they took out all the paint and got it back to its original surface. It does need a new waterslide and that is something you can order from Gibson directly or here on eBay.
Also the tuning keys are a bit tight as in the need to be lubricated. They turn fine and don't affect the tuning but its a little stiff.

This is an early banjolin with Vega styling although it has no serial numbers on the pot or dowel indicating such origin. The resonator is an original Wilmott and works nicely. New strings and tuning pegs. The neck was re-done by a luthier in Maryland whom I purchased it from. The head and remainder of the banjo are complete and in reasonably good condition given its' age which likely goes back to the 20's or 30's although it could be a little later. For sale is a very cool, vintage, 1960's Kawai Mayfield in one of the rarer sunbursts. 60??s Hagstrom Condor project available, sold as is. Chunk taken out of headstock but original footprint is still there. I think it must??ve been stored in a damp place based on the way the paint has peeled off from the body but wood is in great shape. This Harmony Stella H1105 was made in 1943-44, in Chicago. This guitar is a fairly rare example of large-body flat top, and a product of American war time production. Three bits of evidence are the wooden tail piece, no truss rod, and the riveted tuners (as opposed to machine screws).
