Very interesting and truly stunning 1956 Hofner model 461 acoustic archtop, in gloss black with the ??dancing seals?? sound holes. Made in West Germany. Just over 16?? at lower bouts. There is no Selmer British-market equivalent to this model, but it is only a few notches from the top of the line, and quite rare. This is an early President with the serial 5210 which dates it to 1959. It has the desirable blonde finish, original Compensator tailpiece , floating bridge and Celluloid scratchplate. Rare 1950ties Höfner 486 Parlor Guitar in very good condition. There are some minor spots and wear from playing over the years. Straight neck with levelled frets and minor fretwear. OHV is offering our only accoustic fat body committee
For 60 years of age it is in remarkable condition. There are some scratches, in fact quite a few all around the body. Cosmetic and with the nicely darkened laquer they give the instrnent this wonderfull patina. Around the side srew of the pick guard is a little touched up area and on the backside bottom edge where the ornamentel inlay ends is a tiny patch of dopped out laquer.
