This is a Kay made Banjolele, model K5. It is all complete and original, with a new skin head, new Martin nylon strings, and a new bone nut. I do not know if the bridge is original or not - it is Grover branded. The metal parts are not rusty but the plating on the tailpiece is absent. There are no frets are original brass and are in good condition.

Metal script logo on headstock indicates a production date between 1948 - 1965 according to my research, though I can't give an exact date of production. Nice condition, all original and working as it should. I would say the only downside is that the tremolo arm gets loose rather easily, but it??s not that bad. If I missed any negative detail apart from the one I??ve mentioned, remember: it is used, and it is a vintage low cost instrument, so beware if you never owned one of these before.

Kay 70s Les Paul Copy MIJ. In fair condition, has just had a new set of Daddario 9s fitted. Has some marks and dings as you??d expect for a guitar of this age. All working, action is good and all electrics are working well. Slight crack in one of the tuning keys but still works fine.

A very cool find, 1960s Silvertone badged Kay Vanguard II which has been modded and refretted. Plays great, rich resonant tone and sustain and stays in tune too When I got this it was pretty sad, frets filed flat slipping / missing tuners and a tremolo that knocked the strings out of tune when you even looked at it. And the nitro finish flaking and peeling off the neck every time you touched it
I have given the neck a partial respray using nitrocellulose lacquer and replaced the headstock ... more
