1965 Magnatone X-5 Zephyr! Made in the USA. Very cool White Sparkle finish on double-cut Poplar body. Maple neck, topped with a 20-fret Rosewood board with dot inlays. This is an early-to-mid 1960??s Magnatone Zephyr, model X-5, electric guitar made by Magnatone of California. It features a solid, double cutaway, poplar body, and a black finish with gold sparkles. It has two single coil pickups, a white plastic pickguard on which all of the electronics are mounted, two metal strap pins, an adjustable, unique and well designed bridge and whammy tailpiece mechanism which holds pitch and intonation well, a zero fret and a metal cover over the nut. The case has a few cracks seen, and the green cabinet wrap has chipped in some places. The power cord is solid, but the sheathing on the braided wires leading to / closest to the speaker have become frail over the years and are now wrapped in electrical tape. Vintage magnatone 460 amp. This belonged to Carmen Electras father if that holds any value? The amp has been completely gone through and professionally serviced. 2 new JJ 6l6 matched tubes. A complete cap job. Both original oxfords have been reconed and the 2 5x7 tweeters are blown and have been disconnected (there is no speaker cone replacement kit and very hard to find exact replacements) Everything works and functions properly. Selling a vintage, 1962 Magnatone Custom 460 tube amplifier. It works great. As far as i know it is and looks all original except for the tubes of course. All original knobs with centers. This is rare to find. This amp is very loud. It has excellent reverb and unreal vibrato. It has 2 channels and also has a stereo input. It has a home made foot switch that works as it should.
