A very rare and very early original 1961 Hofner 500 / 1 violin "Cavern" bass.
An original beatle bass though this of course is right handed, lovely to hold and so light to play Now this is a real treasure.

Matching Pot codes of 85 date this being built from February 1965 and was probably sold in West Germany as it has no Selmer or Van Wouw stampered serial numbers

Terrific Hofner-style violin bass by Vintage. Short scale, Wilkinson pickups in classic configuration, adjustable bridge, and excellent La Bella flatwound strings which were quite expensive. Could do with a proper setup, but is in near perfect condition, was bought 6 months ago and played very sparingly since then, never left the house. Comes with hard case
