Up for sale is a sweet sounding late 1960s Hofner 500 / 1 Violin "Beatle" Bass in its original sunburst finish. 1964 is the year for these and this one is in great shape! Great playability up and down the neck with nice and low action. Overall clean with the exception of finish wear, finish checking, dings / dents and play wear. An original beatle bass though this of course is right handed, lovely to hold and so light to play Now this is a real treasure.
Complete with all original Hofner parts and electronics all native to this bass.
Beautiful original C shaped neck same as McCartney played on the Please Please Me and With the Beatles albums, and all the early singles up to She Loves You. Same one that he played in the Star Club ... more
