Except for the jack plate, pick guard and strap pegs, this is an all-original (as far as I know) Gold Top. No neck or headstock cracks or breaks ever. I've owned this for 20 years and am no longer gigging it. I inherited another Gold Top, so even though I prefer this one, it has to go. As far as I can tell this is a Harmony H7 Roy Smeck lap steel guitar. It does not say Roy Smeck any where on the instrument, but comparing it to other Smecks, that is the conclusion I have come to. That said, the mounting board is butterscotch in color, not blond as many of the others are. Also, while it has the bridge cover, the cover does not have Roy's signature. But then, most of the H7's I have seen are missing the cover altogether

Up for sale here is this vintage clear round knob, from the 1950s and Made in USA. This is in fantastic condition with extremely light wear. It looks identical to the round knobs found on the Fairchild 240 preamp (used for the volume control and selector switch). It is about 1 1 / 8" in diameter and about 21 / 32" thick.
