This is a good solid guitar, but it's not a closet queen. There are no cracks, but there are lots of nicks, dings, dents and scratches. There's significant belt buckle wear and some worming. I can't get all of the buckle wear to show in pictures, but it's there. All of this is normal for a guitar this age. Still a great looking guitar. This Gibson Logo case has a black exterior with a yellow-orange interior and is period correct for a Les Paul Goldtop (Standard or Deluxe) or Black Les Paul Custom made between 1968 and 1969. By 1970 Gibson had pretty much switched to the purple interior cases.

Welcome to my auction for a totally original Lifton Case, Gibson Les Paul Custom 1955-1960
All catches hinges and tabs work fine.
In such great condition you could, if you were that way inclined , take your guitar in it to gigs.
Got loads more pictures, but the listed ones say it all. An extreemly robust 50's case just and inch or so longer that the brown standard case to fit the Les Paul Custom .

Selling my 1974 Twentieth Anniversary Les Paul I bought this guitar as an empty husk and put it back with modern parts. This guitar is 50 years old, the body in fairly original condition with 50 actual years of aging patina and has survived surprisingly well despite missing all the original parts. Selling this fabulous '78 LPC on behalf of my (non-guitarist) father-in-law who recently inherited this beauty. (previous owner owned since '82 I have been advised)

The condition is excellent (unsurprising given its only a few months old), and we could only identify a couple of very minor blemishes, which feel in keeping with the 'vintage-vibe' of the guitar

Very rare original vintage Gibson hang tag owner's manual from the 1960s - 70s. It has not been filled in so you can put it with your cherished Gibson guitar and nobody will know it didn't come with it
