Amazing sounding and playing Vintage Ampeg 1965 Portaflex B15N Fliptop!
This amp came in with a cut power cord so I had a local amp shop go through it all and service it. At some point one of its transformers was replaced with an old Schumacher. Its handle has rotted away and the grill was also changed out. For the tubes you have a Fender 5AR4, Philips 6L6's and Tung-Sol Octal 6SL7's - Its all old glass and tests well - It's the good stuff! This Ampeg B25B head came from a storage unit auction. The original three pin plug socket was changed because one of the pins was loose and when the power was switched on, the plug had to be moved around before it came on. Now, with a new plug, it consistently powers on. I do not have the Speaker cabinet to try hooking it up to see if it is functional or not. Here's a VERY rare opportunity to own a B-15S 15" extension cabinet. Most of the time you see cabinets that were stripped of the amplifier. This was manufactured as an extension cabinet. This is not an orphan cabinet from a complete amplifier. You can see its fitted with the original cups on top that the steel feet would sit in rather than having the shock mounts for the amp chassis.
