This is an original 1978 Fender Jazz Bass with some early 1980's modifications. I have owned the bass since 1981 and had the modifications done in 1983. Considering its age, this 1975 American Fender Jazz Bass is in pretty amazing condition.
It isn't perfect as it has some slight damage to the finish on the right side of its body which is shown in the pictures but asides from that and some light scratches, the finish is almost perfect.
It also has some slight wear to the frets, mainly on the D string but nothing that compromises its playability or sound

MIJ Vintage Fender Contemporary Power Jazz Bass Special I believe is from 1987 though don't hold me to it. Pretty rare thay don't show up that often.
Plays and sounds great. Has a tbx tone control and a filter preamp, you can get some really interesting tones out of it
Condition is definitely used I've done my best to photograph it but their are a thew more scratches and dings. All damage is cosmetic and doesn't effect playability

Overall good condition other than the back 2 pages which are stained with small piece of print missing from near bottom right corner of back page. Staining has come through onto penultimate page. Content on top of penultimate page suggests 1960 to 1961. I believe these were included in the original case candy for these guitars

Very nice 1980??s Fender Jazz Bass. Made in Japan - A serial. The electronics are on the blink a bit, sometimes they work, sometimes they just kick out noise, depending on how one of the pots is sitting. Probably a fairly easy fix for someone good with a soldering iron, or the easy way would be to instal the harness of your choice. Other than that it??s a very cool bass, a few nicks here and there but a great vintage player.
