Here's a rare version only made for a half year from late 1982 to early 1983. It's was a standard Jazz bass but with dots instead of blocks but still with the curved rosewood veneer type fingerboard and binding. Here was have a one owner 1966 Olympic White Fender Jazz bass! The only this I see that has been changed is the knobs. All electronics are original. When we got the bass in, there was a short in the back pickup that we had repaired by Tom Brandtley. Other than that it has remained untouched. Maple fingerboard with white blocks
Original 3 Tone sunburst finish on body. Medium lightweight. Slim fast neck. comfortable for the majority of players. I just get on better with chunkier neck dimensions.
Mods include: Badass II bridge, Dunlop strap buttons and Ben Lindsey (US) handwound pickups, which are authentic, quiet and have a good output.
The cavity for a larger neck position pickup, I had professionally filled.

This very rare Fender Jazz bass special in Torino red has served me well the last few years, wanting something different hence why I??m selling.

Has recently been rewired so sounds great! It has the slanted pickups which are exclusive to the PJ -535.

Much like Duff McKagan model of the same period (1984-87), this has a P Bass body paired with a Jazz Bass neck, a P / J pickup arrangement and a TBX pot in the control circuit. This one is a non-catalog model, with an open pore satin walnut-stained ash body, ebony board, brass nut, knobs and switch tip. I am the second owner, pots date 1973, neck 1978, and pickups 1975. From my understanding it is usual for the CBS 70s era to have mismatched components.
