These early production Reverse?? Thunderbird??s & Firebird??s were so far ahead of time & very few were ever made comparatively to Fender??s P & J Basses. This particular example was ordered in Gibson??s most popular color of a Dark 2-tone Sunburst finish all over its neck & body. Very little yellowing appears yet she has slight playtime all over. This is a Gibson EB neck humbucker. This one came from a 1970 slotted headstock Gibson EB-3, but the identical pickup was fitted to the EB-0 and EB-3 from the late 1960s through 1970s
Original vintage Gibson US part. This one read 31 5 k ohms - pretty typical, and pretty hot - but that's what gives this period of Gibson bass its super fat 'mudbucker' tone. Comes with original pickup, chrome cover, baseplate and three (out of four) mounting screws / springs:1 screw is a replacement

I've now restored and replace it now with an original 76 styled pickup, so have no use for this
