I purchased this machine because nothing rock quite like an old Hsgstrom II. This one is original but has been modified to a hardtail bridge, and the complex switching has been changed to a simple toggle-3 position system. I did not do the mods, but for some it might make sense. The original switches can be problematic, and some settings not really to useful. Very wonderful playing and sounding guitar from the 60's, and made brilliantly from Germany. The neck is slim and plays like a dream, and has tasteful striping in the wood grain. The pick-ups have a nice warm sound, yet still punchy, and the looks are just brilliant. The frets are in great shape, and the guitar as a whole is very solid. Up for sale is a Vintage 1958 Fender Lap Steel Guitar. Not much is known about instrument. It looks to be in ok condition. It does show wear makes and age. The two knobs do not appear to function but in the hands of the right person could probably be repaired. The case also does not close properly and it to shows it??s age. The coolest find from the repair guy's musical instrument part stash was this incredible set of antique engraved / stamped / etched brass mandolin tuners. These tuners are not stamped or marked with a maker or a date, although I have a pretty good idea what maker and era they are most likely from.
