what we have here is a slight mystery
When I acquired the guitar, i was told that the original owner had bought this guitar brand new in LA in 1983, used it for years in the studio where someone carelessy broke the headstock and as such it was replaced with a "Made in Japan" charvette neck
Now whether it is a genuine American Charvel with a different neck OR Japanese made Charvette, i honestly cannot say

This guitar is a parts caster, although absolutely everything apart from the body came from the same guitar.
Everything except from the body is exactly what you'd expect to see from a 1983 Squier JV. The pickups are the US made units, the pots are all correct but the switch is a 5 way replacement. For sale is my 1982 Dan Smith Hardtail Strat. It's one of the earlier 'E' serial numbered ones.
In overall very good condition with the odd knock or scratch but nothing of real note. There are some neck pocket cracks to the finish, which is common on strats
The neck is a shallow C. Frets still in excellent condition
