Vintage guitars for sale: Gibson EB3

This bass is being sold as a PROJECT and is in need of some attention. First off, the neck has a fairly drastic twist; the bass side of the neck turns upwards away from the treble side. The truss rod nut is also maxed out, but the neck still has quite a bit of relief. The frets are very low and flat and a refret will be greatly beneficial. This bass has also been refinished. The Gibson EB-3 is a bass guitar introduced in 1961 and discontinued in 1979. It was produced at Gibson's plant in Kalamazoo, MI It features a slim SG-style body, a short 30 5" scale, and two pick up's (a large humbucking pickup in the neck position and a mini humbucker pickup in the bridge position). Gibson EB3, 30 5?? Short Scale Bass Guitar. 1973, made in USA. Cherry red, but body seems to have faded as original colour can be seen under the pick guard and rear controls cover. Very nice used condition with just a few minor dings as you would expect on a 48 year old instrument. One scratch shown in photo. Nice low action that can be effectively adjusted by truss rod. Alles Original, sehr guter Zustand, großartiger Sound!
Der Bass wurde inzwischen mit neuen Rotosound 88-er Saiten (schwarz mit Nylon Flatwounds) versehen und alles poliert und neu eingestellt. Der Schaumstoffdämpfer und das Bett des Neck-Pickups wurden ebenfalls erneuert. Der Bass-Sound mit dem dicken Humbucker ist jetzt einmalig tief und ähnelt tatsächlich einem Kontrabass - aber mit richtig Power!

Le micro manche est celui d??origine
Le micro chevalet a donc été rajouté il y a longtemps je ne sais pas quand
Il y a eu un micro au milieu mais l??ancien proprio a décidé de la mettre en configuration d??origine tout en gardant une trace de son histoire

Elle a aussi le vernis qui craquelle ce qui lui va bien pour une Gibson vintage

Vintage 1972 Gibson USA EB3 Cherry Electric Bass Guitar *1970s
I was so pleased to be able to purchase this off of the long term owner, where it had been so well looked after in a studio for decades. It's stunning! It's a 1972 Gibson EB3 in original cherry colour. The serial number dates this between 1971-1973, but looking at the pots this one dates to 1972.
