This is a 1953 Fender Champ 600. This amp has been in my family for its entire life and is now collecting dust, as it was given to my father as a gift when he was a child. 10 years ago I had it serviced by Skip Simmons bc it didn??t work due to cold solder and cap issues. For sale is a blonde Epiphone Century archtop guitar from 1953 manufactured in NY USA. This is a rare model with a De Armond pickup. The guitar will need some work as can be seen in the pictures: needs binding work, the neck needs to be reset, and there's a crack on the back of the neck. Unbelievable find!! Everything works perfectly (including projector), has original tubes and covers. There are a few extras, like the projector arms, take-up reel, spare bulbs and springs (see pics). I've cleaned up the covers, which have light discoloration from age, but it's super clean on the inside and functions perfectly as a guitar amp (see video). This guitar is in rough shape and needs some serious tlc. The strings are rusted and broken, the original celluloid binding is cracked or missing, the tuners are and tailpiece are rusty, and I see a couple cracks on the top. That being said, everything is original as far as I can tell. The tailpiece is the original harp style trapeze with Gretsch written on it, and the bridge appears to be the original rosewood. This guitar was found in the basement of a closed down music store in rough condition. The celluloid pick guard had melted and dripped onto and bubbled the finish, the celluloid binding was badly cracked and falling off, the original nut was missing, and the neck had a crack near the headstock. A lot of work went into repairing and restoring it to its current, very playable state.
