This guitar dates to 1988 and was built for Epiphone by Samick at their plant in Unsung, Korea. It??s in very nice shape, and plays well. The body uses laminated Maple, with Maple for the center block and, with Walnut separators, for the 5 piece neck. The bound fingerboard is likely Pau Ferro, which avoids any CITES issues around Rosewoods. Position markers are ?Block and Triangle?? using Mother of Pearl and Abalone. Here is a classic electric guitar from Epiphone. This model is highly regarded and they do not come up for sale in this condition very often. The guitar was made in Japan at the Matsumoku factory in 1983. It is in fantastic condition with no issues and looking like the day it was made. A rare ?Epiphone by Gibson?? Epiphone Sheraton. Only sold with this headstock around 1988-1989. Made in Korea, it??s exceptionally well constructed compared to today??s Sheratons . Little to no marks on it??just the usual patina on the golden hardware and a pleasant ?amber?? developing to the poly finishing, giving it some real vintage mojo.
