Last year for Matsumoku guitars, this 1987 Spectrum 2 showcases their build for a shredding superstrat guitar. Very low action and heavy metal tone Is just what the doctor ordered. A great player with several bumps and chips as shown in pics but just cosmetic. Very little fretwear on neck. Missing Allen wrenches, locking nut blocks and screws and no trem arm. Weighs in at 8 5lbs. Plays out nicely. Comes with rough OHSC but protects guitar.

Commodore guitar, made in Japan in the early 70??s at the Matsumoku factory.
It is exactly the same as the Epiphone EA-250, except the colour, the ??e?? on the pickguard, and the headstock shape, but it is basically the same (these were made in the same factory, by the same people)

This is something you don't see often - a half-century-old and fully operational Aria Diamond 5020 from the Matsumoku factory
Manufactured between 1970-74, the 5020 is a maple hollowbody shortscale (30, 5 " ) with rosewood fingerboard and sunburst finish. This is a 1981 Epiphone Riviera. incredible guitar made in Japan. The Matsumoku era epiphones are some of the best ever made. the build quality and performance is as high as it gets with these 80s ones. This is the CSB-380 - the same model that was played by Kim Deal on the early Pixies records. One pickup, cherry red finish, solid tuners and three piece maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Aria Pro II Cardinal series CS-350 in See Thru Red. Made in 1981 at the Matsumoku factory Japan. Really cool guitars ( Kurt Cobain played, smashed and burned a CS-250) and are one of the best guitars to come out of Japan in this price range. Has a light ash body, 3 piece maple neck and rosewood fretboard (scale 630mm). Nut width is 43mm and the fretboard flattish with a nice U shaped neck. There is a carve around the body. Nice playing vintage 1970s guitar from Japan. The body is a Tamaki EG-15 and the neck a Matsumoku made Frister brand. Neck plays lovely and smooth and the pickups have that cool 70s layered tone. Looks and plays great and has been well set up ready to go with 10-46 strings.

Great playing guitar from the Matsumoku factory, Japan built in 1986. Originally sold for 75, 000 yen in 1986 as a quality model in the RS series . Japanese Les Paul copy built by the Matsumoku factory in 1976-77. This brand was made alongside all the other famous brands of the day like Aria Pro II, Greco, Ibanez, Fernandes. The body is a maple back and top with mahogany sandwich centre typical of the era. 3 piece maple neck and chrome Japanese hardware. Weighs only 3 3kg so not too heavy.
