Last year for Matsumoku guitars, this 1987 Spectrum 2 showcases their build for a shredding superstrat guitar. Very low action and heavy metal tone Is just what the doctor ordered. A great player with several bumps and chips as shown in pics but just cosmetic. Very little fretwear on neck. Missing Allen wrenches, locking nut blocks and screws and no trem arm. Weighs in at 8 5lbs. Plays out nicely. Comes with rough OHSC but protects guitar.

This is a really beautiful clean instrument. This is the ES-335 style thin line body. This come with the cool trapeze style tremelo system. Extremely rare and interesting Strat style guitar made in Japan in the mid 1980s. I have copied some information in the photos, basically ordered by a music shop owner in this country and made in Japan (maybe Fujigen or Matsu, not sure). The tuners are Gotohs, the neck is the usual beautiful Japanese Fender style slim C with a very usable 10 inch radius. Manufactured between 1970-74, the 5020 is a maple hollowbody shortscale (30, 5 " ) with rosewood fingerboard and sunburst finish. Fantom was a short lived brand distributed by Aria and built by the Matsumoku factory alongside all the other major Japanese brands of the era (see photos for catalogue). The label featured Fender / Gibson style guitars exclusively and focused on value for money. This guitar sold for 38, 000¥ in 1977.
