This super rare and very early ?Sunburst?? Model 127 Club 50 it has a 13 inch wide, 2 inch thick, single cutaway hollow body, with a slightly arched top and a flat-back. Not a re-issue!! I purchased this guitar from a seller onReverb. He purchased a number of 1960??s Hofners Club 40 guitars in the late1970??s and had them ever since. Got the year 1962 on this one from the Hofnersite. It could possibly be a 1963 however I do not think they were continuedinto ?63. Fantastic bass here ! This was found in an estate last year . We had the whole thing gone over professionally. Neck reset, rewired, pickups are original and rewound. The finish was removed off the top a long time ago . as you see we did not touch that . Use as is or redo your choice. A really cool version of the Club Bass from Hofner, the single cut big brother to the Violin Bass made so famous by the bass player for an English band in the 60s. This instrument is part of the Green Line from Hofner, made in Germany without the use of plastics and with wood native to Europe.
