English brand Kimbara Model 23T full sized dreadnought guitar, in a matt finish. A lovely rich sounding instrument, with a very smooth neck for easy movement
Other features include a rosewood fretboard, and a beautiful mahogany finish
The guitar has some cosmetic scratches on the back, a little ding on the binding at the front and long-term will need the bridge looking at due to historic damage from past ownership (all in photos)

Lovely tone and action

Its near on immaculate but has a few marks around but the worst part i cant get the sound to pick up. When you plug it in and turn the pots we get some signal crackles so i'm not sure if the bridge pick up has failed or a wire has come loose and i simply don't have time to rebuild or order parts.

KIMBARA N-166 CLASSICAL GUITAR ESPECIALLY MADE IN JAPAN FOR F&N OF LONDON. This is rare and could not find another on Ebay unless im mistaken
obvious signs of use dinks on main body. I have shown in pics. tunes well. Stand not included
It does have a visible sign of a lacquer or break which I have shown in pics so could be a restoration project

The legendary ?chainsaw?? fuzz as used by lots of big names. I??ve played lots of clones and the original has a presence and clarity to my ears that no modern pedal quite reaches. Really aggressive but somehow very musical at full tilt, roll back the guitar volume and you??ve got furry mellow stoner fuzz and synth-like bass. I love this pedal but I have another so this is spare. This one has been treated to fresh wiring, footswitch, pots (so it looks) and jacks. More reliable as the old 70s ... more

I bought this many years ago from ebay. It was described as a 1970's Kimbara Stratocaster with Fender decals; the decals and neck plate were added by the previous owner so I have no provenance as to its Kimbara origins, although it appears to be the same as other natural finish Kimbara strats I have seen advertised. These were built in the 1970s by Fujigen. It is very heavy for a Strat and has quite a few chips, scratches and marks on the body. It would appear that the tuners have been replaced ... more

Here is a beautiful Japanese classical made in 1977 by Suzuki Violin Co. branded 'Kimbara' for UK export. The model 25 / Z was one of the top models of the year. Spec'd with Jacaranda (Brazilian Rosewood), cedar top, butterfly rosette and GoToh tuners
Suzuki made a solid top version of this guitar and a double plate version (two pieces of bonded solid wood, for crack resistance) and as you can see from the rear photo, this one is double plate. Sounds great and was one of my first purchases ... more
