Very cool and extremely rare model from Hofner. Rare acoustic archtop with sharp cutaway. It plays easy and sounds very good! It's in excellent condition. Not mint, but very clean overall. Just the lightest traces of use but is a great example and is complete with hard case etc

All electrics are working and the action is very low, with a straight neck
The guitar has a trussrod which means that the neck is not a fork handle diameter. An original hard shell case is in the deal as well

To the best of my knowledge, this is the earliest Hofner President serial number I have found. It's from the first year of President guitars - 1953 - and has the original hard case (painted) included too. A true rarity, especially with that Straten tailpiece! Hofner President Florentine 66 guitar made in roughly 1966. The guitar shows normal signs of its age and is in great playing condition
It was worked on by a professional luthier about a year ago. It had a custom made bone nut made and fitted, the frets were finished and polished, the finish of the whole guitar was polished, the electrics were re-soldered and the guitar was setup with gauge 10 strings. Original Hofner President archtop with cutaway.
This is an early President with the serial 5210 which dates it to 1959. It has the desirable blonde finish, original Compensator tailpiece , floating bridge and Celluloid scratchplate. The original machine heads are in very good condiition, can be a little stiff when compared to modern ytuners but still work well
