Olivia's Vintage would like to present this early 1950's Tempo branded Kay K-162 bass in its original Sunburst finish and "tortoise" guards. It has a great playing neck with great frets and a very big fat "V" neck profile. It's all original and 100% complete along with its original strap and original soft shell case. Kay KB-24 sunburst bass body. It's a PB style bass body. Year unknown. Fair few dings and scratches all shown. Will include the neck plate and ashtray bridge cover. There are additional screw holes where a modern PB style scratch plate was attached. These are covered by the original or vice versa
Scratchplate included with pickups. It's not currently soldered into the ground wire or attached though. There's a broken screw in where the pickups go that you can work around. Electrics all work ... more

One of the most endearing looking basses. I love them. Sounds great too and its size makes it a joy to play, especially for younger players.
Fresh Ernie Ball strings. Jack input a bit crackly at times if jumping about but easily solved by wrapping the guitar cable through the strap so it doesn??t jolt around too much.... more

Vintage heavyweight P-bass, I believe it's a Kay KB24 from the 70s
It needs attention, electrics not currently working, missing switches and hardware rusty / tarnished. Some old screw holes dotted about too
However, this has loads of potential and will make a great project
