A beautiful example from the peak period of acoustic archtop production out of Kalamazoo. This is an early "Advanced" version of the L-5, which had just increased in size from a 16" lower bout to a 17" lower bout in the year before this guitar was built. At this time the bracing pattern was changed to an X braced instrument, as opposed to the previous parallel bracing pattern. This is an incredibly clean, and near mint / near museum quality 1975 Fender Telecaster with its original finish / color. It is NOT a refinish. This is a vintage 1968 Gibson J160E with a Sunburst finish. This model was Gibson's second, hybrid, acoustic / electric guitar. It combines an uncovered P90 single coil mounted just below its neck on a ladder-braced J45-style body. It has a volume and tone pot with a Black Beauty capacitor. These were most famously used by John Lennon and George Harrison, and was the guitar commonly seen with John & Yoko's during their "Bed-In" days
