This is a 1981 Tokai PB40 Hard Puncher with a Candy Apple Red finish. This P-bass was possibly a custom order with its rare Maple board and matching headstock. It has the original headstock shape, as well, before they were forced to change it to a more angular style. It's in great shape with a couple dings here and there and is currently setup with flats. I bought this guitar secondhand in 2004 and it plays better than any Fender I??ve ever played
To the best of my knowledge - from research on tokairegistry com and vintagejapanguitars com - I believe this is a 1984 TST (Script Logo) and on close inspection it looks like the body is 2-piece. Japanese made tokai custom edition from the 80s had it re fretted a few years ago it plays and sounds good it has a few dings and scrapes but it's good for the age collection only but i might be able to meet half way... more

1980 Tokai Love Rock 50 . excellent condition, a couple of light scratches on the back and a bit of a chip on the neck which i have tried to show, i have the pick guard, comes with soft case, if you know, you know. For your consideration is a nice Tokai TST-50 from the early 1980's
This particular TST-50 model is Tokai's copy of a 1964 Stratocaster. Not high end, but none the less an excellent copy
What follows below are various particulars:
There are nicks / marks on the body and neck but nothing serious.
Neck is straight. Action is low. Currently fitted with D'Addario strings EXL115 (11 to 49)
