Talk about a guitar that was ahead of it's time! The Tokai MAT series featured a composite body and neck that gave the density of wood for excellent tone and sustain but increased durability. Here's a really cool and rare Tokai Model 35 that was made in Japan in the '70s and is a full size dreadnought body. This is basically Tokai's copy of a Martin D35 and it was just cleaned up and restrung with Martin .12-54s phosphor bronze strings. Up for grabs is this cool vintage 1982 Tokai Silver Star SS-38. It??s a great looking & playing Piano Black CBS style build. It has an alder body with a maple neck, large resonant headstock, fast neck w / skunk stripe and 3 bolt neckplate. It has a great looking Indian rosewood fingerboard, 3 ply black scratchplate and black tipped tremolo arm. This one is well along the road to being a real vintage looker.
