These were not exported and although share a name with the 60's Epiphone Olympic model they are quite different guitars. This is a very clean, all original 1965 Epiphone Olympic Double in cherry finish. Includes original chipboard case. There are only a few dings as shown in the pictures. The two single coil Gibson PU380 'Melody Maker" pickups are strong and clear. The bridge pickup sounds bright and articulate with excellent bite. The neck pickup is big and warm. Up for sale is a clean 1961 Epiphone Olympic Single Cut in its original sunburst finish. This is easily one of the absolute earliest Olympics we've seen and it has a few features you typically do not see on later models such as the Epiphone headstock logo, ink stamp serial, fat 50s rounded neck and angled nickel tailpiece.
