First, this guitar is over 50 years old. It sounds beautiful, warm and bright, really amazing. Strings are old but it still holds tune perfect. Previously owned vintage 1971 / 1972 Yamaha FG-180 acoustic guitar. Its made in Taiwan and has the red label, dating this to 1971 / 1972. The serial numbers are 20726156 and ?017051?. It does show its wear from 50+ years of playing music with lots of surface marks throughout. There is a small crack on the side near the edge. On the bottom there is a deeper scratch in the frame but this isnt a crack. Comes with a Roadrunner hard shell case. Please see all pics.

Plays and sounds great, but has a few issues. There's a small hole in the lower bout near the bottom strap button. There's some wood splintered from the inside of the slotted headstock. Beautiful, high-end true semi-acoustic guitar by Yamaha. Extremely rare. I??ve never seen one of these in the UK in this colour. I think based on serial number, and the Pearl series only being made between 1971-1972 that this is a 1971 guitar

1979 Yamaha SG700 in brown, has had a full refret and new nut installed. The guitar did at one point have a pick guard, when I bought it it had clearly had some luthier work done to it already and had the pick guard screw holes filled very well. Dating from 1982-83, a rather cool Yamaha SG-1000 model (made in Japan)
This one has evidently had a conversion from right to left handed, with the original cavities etc having been filled, and the entire guitar re-finished.
Whoever did this went to the trouble of re-applying the serial, which is how I??ve dated it to 1982. Truss rod cover is non-original (taken from a period SG500 - close enough!)

legendary Yamaha acoustic action is a bit high at 2 5mm high E,  3mm low E as you would expect on a 50 year old guitar first fret action is a respectable 0 2mm so it's fine for cowboy chords which is where this guitar sings I've priced this guitar sensibly for our local area,  they go for a lot more up country ... more

An original 1980s rock guitar from Yamaha, the SE250. This features a locking trem unit, one single coil and one humbucker with a coil split on the volume pot. 22 frets, a few bumps and marks but nothing major especially for its 40 years age

This is quite a unique amp which has been lost to history. Information is a little hard to find, but what I have found on it has been very positive.

Firstly, for 100W it is incredibly loud! And despite its age it is also very clean sounding, even compared to some modern amplifiers.

1974 SG45 in very used condition . the pickups have been changed, there were holes in the top (by the controls) which have been filled in, and the head had a twist split at some point which has been glued. Beautiful and historic 1967-1972 made in Japan Yamaha hollowbody electric guitar. Top of the range SA-50 model (others were SA-30 and SA-20). Upmarket fretboard and headstock inlays. Sounds great and has low action. NEEDS A SERVICE AS NECK PICKUP HAS LOST CONTACT. Currently only the bridge pickup is working. Seems to just be a loose wire. No major damage or severe fret-wear.
Overall very pretty, with the cosmetic flaws of a relic. Missing vibrato bar.... more
