Serial number 7068 I think is 1966 . One replacement knob other than that all original

Late 1960s / 1970s Wilson (WEM) Sapphire electric guitar - Rare left handed version. Made in England
Hard to date exactly but Wilson branded WEM guitars were post 1968 and according to Watkins guitar world circa 1972 guitars were in the 18000 serial number range, this is serial 17195 so as a guess its from between 1968 - 1972
Used condition but pretty clean for age, there are minor indents around the body edges and one small indent on the fretboard. The electrics are working and the ... more

Watkins Rapier 44 electric guitar made in England in roughly 1964. The guitar shows signs of its age but has no major damage. It has been worked on and set up by a professional luthier. It has had a full fret level and dress, the bridge posts repaired, a fully bespoke bone nut installed and the neck has been shimmed with a solid maple shim as shown in the pictures. Up for sale is a very rare 1970s Left handed Wilson Rapier. As you'll be no doubt aware, Wilson was formerly Watkins / WEM, and briefly had a plethora of updated models from the former line-up. One of those was the famous Rapier, and this is a superb example, complete with a natural wood finish, clear scratchplate, humbuckers, and a maple fretboard
The action is quite high, so this guitar will need a decent setup. As far as I know, electrics should work, though I don't have an amp at home ... more

Early 1960s Watkins Rapier 33 electric guitar. Matching red headstock
Serial 1634 so an early production version, set neck with 3 single coil pickups
Its a little tired condition wise but a good chance for an afffordable 60s vintage guitar. Its just had a fret dress and some small attention to the nut and new strings fitted.
The lacquer is very checked all over and the tuners are obvious replacements with the top E tuners corner modified to follow the shape of the headstock. Not ... more
