Vintage guitars for sale: Gretsch Tennessean

I am selling few guitars from my collection. This is a totally amazing , completely original 1967 Gretsch Tennessean with Bigsby. It is the only one I have ever seen that has Chet Atkins' actual original live signature. The guitar is in perfect condition for it's age. It comes with the original silver metallic Gretsch case. The guitar plays perfectly and would be a great addition to any collector's collection. ;... more

From research online I have found the following info about this series of guitars - Gretsch Model 6119 Chet Atkins Tennessean Model Thinline Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1969), made in USA, dark mahogany finish, laminated maple body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, original (and heavily-worn) hard shell case. Gretsch Tennessean The Tennessean debuted in 1958 as, essentially, a one-pickup, stripped-down 6120. While it lacked much of the ornamentation of the 6120, it did have real f-holes, a Bigsby B-6 whammy bar, one FilterTron (in the bridge position) and a vaguely 6120-ish look. Offered for sale; Used 1964 Gretsch 6119 Chet Atkins Tennessean serial number 65221. This 6119 is in excellent condition. The neck and frets are fine, the pick guard is new. Bridge base is new. Although there are no signs of damage around the output jack a metal football shaped jack plate was installed. There are couple of splits in the headstock veneer. For sale is a 1964 Gretch Tennessean Model 6119. This is an original example with all original parts untouched, dating to 1964 in fine condition. Pretty clean example of a 60's Gretsch. There is some very minor belt ware on the back, some scratches on top (see photos). There is minor shrinking in the heel and in the binding (see photos for examples). The worst is the split in the laminated pieces in the neck on the head stock (see photos). I would shoot some glue and a clamp and it would be close up pretty easily. Good news, the neck binding is all there with out any issues.
