From a 1985 G&L L1000. This is the early version with split coils and solid copper bottom. It's in great shape but only the lower coil is working and reads 4 09K on my meter. It's a pretty straightforward rewind or might just be an easy repair. It's got the small allen key pole pieces that all adjust freely and there is no rust on them. Original iring is still intact. I don't have the mounting screws

A beautiful looking and sounding guitar! All electronics seem to work, though I'm not entirely sure what they all do. The output jack has been moved to the side of the body. There is a small amount of wear on the fretboard in the area of frets 3-7, see photo), but has no effect on playability. Sad to let this one go, but right now the money Is more important. I haven't unbolted the neck to check the date stamps, however comparing to similar serial numbers it is probably from 1981
Cosmetically there are nicks in the finish around the body and some wear to the plating on the hardware, consistent with a 40+ year old instrument

Selling a wonderful playing 1983 G&L SB-2 with a G&L L2000 neck from the 1990??s. Both USA made. Neck is straight, frets are excellent, truss rod nut adjusts perfectly. Tuners and string retainer are new G&L, neck plate is an older, original G&L. Body has a couple nicks and bruises and age related checking, but no structural issues. Beautiful vintage G&L definitely has some ware but for 40 years old this thing feels and sounds great pickups are super clean and hold gain we??ll just an over all great guitar and a piece of history I??ve had it for about 4-5 months now and just couldn??t put it down but I need the cash so sadly have to let it go

For sale is this very cool G&L L2000e from 1984. One owner, good condition. Original hardshell case included. This bass is in perfect, unmodified working condition. All electronics are totally original and working properly. There is some belt buckle rash but it doesn??t penetrate the finish. There is a chip on the edge on the back of the headstock. This guitar has been in my possession for over 25 years. I'm an acoustic player and this guitar has stayed in the case most-of-the-time. Items worth note: VERY little fret wear on "jumbo" frets (quite wide by acoustic standards). Original case, original tremolo bar, original condition. A vintage 1981 G&L L-2000 E Series Bass. Recently had new frets, a new bone nut, setup and a set of D??addario NYXL strings installed at world renowned guitar builders Crimson Guitars Dorset.
