Here we have a really sweet 57 Gibson L48 archtop guitar. It is a one owner guitar that was brought in by the son of the original owner who has passed away. The guitar is in very good playing condition showing normal signs of wear for a guitar of this vintage. The label is missing so we don??t have a serial number to date it but he remembers when the guitar was purchased so we are going by that. ONE 1954 5D6, 5E6, 5E6-A FENDER Tweed Bassman TRIAD 2820 output Transformer. This is a clean working unit. There is a bit of varnish on the leads from the V P.I. process where transformer windings are submerged in hot varnish and then pressurized with air to force the varnish deep into the windings. This serves as insulation and moisture, (non condensing), protection and is part of the manufacturing process. You usually see evidence of the varnish on top of the laminations

This is a great sounding Gibson GA-5 amplifier from 1957. The amp works properly. It was serviced last fall by Wilburwerkes Audio in Kansas City. The original clear vinyl slipcover is included. The cover has shrunk over time and fits extremely tight on the amp. I've left the amp in its original patinaed state, but I'm sure that it could clean up nicely with minimal effort. Selling my original 1957 Fender Musicmaster! It's in good condition for its age, a few plectrum marks etc but overall very clean. The electronics are all original, and the 57 stamp can be seen on the neck heal. There were contours added at somepoint in the 70s so it has been refinned in the same colour as before (desert sand)

For sale this very rare 1957 500 / 5 , with the oval tone plate . Both rosewood pickups have been rewound and it has a refret from an excellent luthier. Original pots which are date stamped . It is in very good condition for its considerable age and has its original winter case

I purchased this 1957 Framus Upright Bass about 12 months ago with the idea of learning to play upright bass. Lack of time and other hobbies has meant it??s been sat in my lockup unused

This is a 1957 Hofner Congress. This is a stunning looking, vintage guitar. The guitar has the serial number 4853 which dates is to 1957 (Serial number range 4718 - 5808)
The guitar is a fully hollow archtop that has been retrofitted with pickups. I believe these were a factory add on option. The pickups currently do not work properly, this is probably down to a simple wiring issue but I don't have the patience for re-writing hollow body guitars myself

1957 Hofner Senator "brunette" archtop electric guitar in good condition with period hard case. Early model with the rosewood bodied pickup and circular control panel. These pre-date the truss rod so the neck is pretty chunky and not ideal for speedy jazz players or shredders. .

Right from the off i know nothing about hofners. With that this needs some work and i am very reluctant to do anything with no knowledge.

The neck pickup is loose i think missing the fastening bolt on one side.

The volume and tone pots are loose

And the nut is broken at the high e

The guitar is in great condition, a few minor nicks (see photos) . low action , and a vintage neck radius . these are fantastic copies on a par with Japanese squires I believe the Vesters were made in the same factories as the Pro Tone Squire series
