Here we have a really sweet 57 Gibson L48 archtop guitar. It is a one owner guitar that was brought in by the son of the original owner who has passed away. The guitar is in very good playing condition showing normal signs of wear for a guitar of this vintage. The label is missing so we don??t have a serial number to date it but he remembers when the guitar was purchased so we are going by that. The frets are great with just a little wear on the first fret but it plays clean with no buzz. The ... view on ebay

ONE 1954 5D6, 5E6, 5E6-A FENDER Tweed Bassman TRIAD 2820 output Transformer. This is a clean working unit. There is a bit of varnish on the leads from the V P.I. process where transformer windings are submerged in hot varnish and then pressurized with air to force the varnish deep into the windings. This serves as insulation and moisture, (non condensing), protection and is part of the manufacturing process. You usually see evidence of the varnish on top of the laminations
