This early version of the student model guitar from Fender has the anodized pickguard to match the class of the finish. ONE 1954 5D6, 5E6, 5E6-A FENDER Tweed Bassman TRIAD 2820 output Transformer. This is a clean working unit. There is a bit of varnish on the leads from the V P.I. process where transformer windings are submerged in hot varnish and then pressurized with air to force the varnish deep into the windings. This is a first year of production G6120 DSW-1957. Obviously based on Eddie Cochran's 6120 (which they couldn't call it at the time)and is the precursor to the current 'EC' model (list price c. £3000), so less than half the price of a new one
