There is a bit of varnish on the leads from the V P.I. process where transformer windings are submerged in hot varnish and then pressurized with air to force the varnish deep into the windings. This 1957 Fender Harvard SR#99800H was purchased and in mypossession since 1976. It was professionallyserviced and re-covered in 2007ish and has been very lightly played since thattime. As far as I know, other than the re-cover cosmetic work, the amp is 100%original with just a minor power cable repair (see photo) and still has the originalJensen 10-inch speaker.

Here we have a very fine and extremely rare 1957 Gibson ES-125-D archtop. The guitar is out of a collector's smoke free temperature controlled luthiers estate who is retiring. Here we have a really sweet 57 Gibson L48 archtop guitar. It is a one owner guitar that was brought in by the son of the original owner who has passed away. The Harmony H62 (c. 1957)?? Basically the poor musician??s Chuck Berry guitar. Big sexy full-depth round cutaway electric archtop with single coil Gibson pickups. This is a extremely clean real 1957 Fender tweed Champ, NOT A REISSUE. The speaker has been replaced with a great sounding 6" (same size as the original of this year) Weber "signature series" speaker, the electrolytic caps have been replaced. This is an excellent sounding 1957 Gibson GA-20. Many compare the GA-20 to a Fender tweed Tremolux. This amp produces 16 watts from a pair of vintage 6V6 power tubes in cathode bias through the original 12 inch Jensen P12R speaker dated 1957. This is a 1957 Hofner Congress. This is a stunning looking, vintage guitar. The guitar has the serial number 4853 which dates is to 1957 (Serial number range 4718 - 5808)
The guitar is a fully hollow archtop that has been retrofitted with pickups. I believe these were a factory add on option. The pickups currently do not work properly, this is probably down to a simple wiring issue but I don't have the patience for re-writing hollow body guitars myself

Gretsch Short Vintage Cadillac Green Duo Jet Tailpiece
Background: All vintage Gretsch Jets (Duo Jets, Jet Firebirds, Silver Jets) made between 1954 - 1962 originally came with chrome short "G" tailpieces
Cadillac Green Duo Jets: The single exception to this was the run of 50 Cadillac Green Duo Jets in 1957 and two more (as is currently known) Cadillac Green Duo Jets made by Gretsch in 1958.

This is a 1957 Hofner Congress. This is a stunning looking, vintage guitar. The guitar has the serial number 4853 which dates is to 1957 (Serial number range 4718 - 5808)
The guitar is a fully hollow archtop that has been retrofitted with pickups. I believe these were a factory add on option. The pickups currently do not work properly, this is probably down to a simple wiring issue but I don't have the patience for re-writing hollow body guitars myself
