Gretsch produced various musical instruments in New York, USA, from the early twentieth century, with guitars added to the line in the 1930s. It was most famous for it's hollow-body electric acoustics, being favoured by the rock and roll artists of the 1950s and the beat groups of the 1960s. In 1970, production was moved to Booneville, Arkansas.

Users include Chet Atkins, George Harrison, Bo Diddley, Steve Marriot and Peter Tork.

It has the typical binding rot, what looks to be a replaced bridge, and something happened to the neck. It has an added "neckplate" that covers some screws apparently meant to stabilize the neck. The good news is, it worked. The bad news is, it's there
