Original Selmer case for Hofner Guitar, Mid-Late 50's. Not sure which model Hofner guitar, but the measurements are 43" long, 17" across and 4 1 / 2" deep. Case has Tolex wear on rear bout, both top and bottom, and a few spots elsewhere, but overall for it's age not too bad. All latches work, original handle. There were a few areas where the wood seam was separating, I was able to repair them with Wood glue and clamps, problem solved. No more separation in the seams.... view on ebay

This is a nice Hofner copy of the Beatle Bass Paul used. We believe it to be a Univox or Teisco 1960's. Electronics all work however the tone just has a little static noise when you turn it volume works great and so does the tone other than that drop of static while turning (probably a very good electronics cleaning is in order). This bass guitar has been tested and all electronics works as they are designed. There are some scratches on the body however nothing that is deep more just from playing. The pick guards is missing which is why there is a hole on the side as shown in the photos of the listing. The case has many broken latches which is why it is held closed with a rubber band

Surprisingly clean example of a '60s (or '70s?) Japanese viola bass. The action gets high as you go up the fretboard despite the saddles being bottomed out. Neck looks straight. I gave the truss a little turn in each direction but was wary of going too far. Not sure whether it needs a neck reset, shim, or to just have the bridge filed down. Frets are excellent. 1965 Hofner President in superb condition. Looks gorgeous, amazing build, plays amazingly well with a fast low action and appears to be all original. It really does play beautifully.
This is the Thinline version from 1965 in great shape with no signs of warping, cracking, shrinking or repairs etc.

Beautiful Hofner President guitar - I had some holes made by some Atari pick ups (put in the 60s) professionally restored. Its back to its original accoustic state. The neck is straight amd the guitar plays comfortably with quite a low action amd deep C cup neck. There is still the jack plug input in at the bottom and the wiring is tucked inside if you want to add a pick up - i have included the Atari pick ups and a Hofner president scratch plate that i never attached. 1960's HOFNER Colorama mod. 161 Redburst, Germany
This rare Hofner guitar was made in Germany in the 1960s. There is no marking on the guitar, but I assume it is a model No. 161. Guitar is very light in weight ( 2 22kg or 4 15lb ) and body is hollow inside
Considering the age, I estimate the external condition as very good. There are some scratches and small dents, but nothing major. Please take a look on the posted pictures where these marks are clearly visible on.

A genuine 1960s acoustic guitar in excellent condition for its age, and still very playable with a nice action and good frets
Many guitarists started their journey with these guitars including the great Hank Marvin. They were decent quality and a lot cheaper than a Gibson, Fender etc. This is a real survivor, plenty of patina but no cracks or major marks

This is a lovely old girl from a classic jazz / rock n roll era. There's some writing inside the 'F hole' that indicates it might have been built in 1958 !
