This is a nice Hofner copy of the Beatle Bass Paul used. We believe it to be a Univox or Teisco 1960's. Electronics all work however the tone just has a little static noise when you turn it volume works great and so does the tone other than that drop of static while turning (probably a very good electronics cleaning is in order). Dates of manufacture: 1962 to 1983Hofner made the 185 bass from around 1962 to 1983. It was a solid body electric bass with polyester Polished Sunburst or ruby finish. The 2 special bass sound pickups were mutually switchable to that 3 different pickup combinations could be obtained. Absolutely stunning 1970s classical guitar with brand new D'Addario strings

Apart from some very minor strum marks, the guitar is in immaculate condition. Lovely flamed back and sides and a flamed spruce top. I have photographed the minor strum marks by the sound hole - the other 'marks' visible on the top are the flaming spruce and are obviously part of the quality of the wood.

Cosmetic and with the nicely darkened laquer they give the instrnent this wonderfull patina. Here we have a super nice and clean Vintage 1961 Hofner Verithin Cherry Red together with a rare period Selmer London Strap. This is one of the last Verithin guitars with a switch block control plate as this is the point they changed to just four control knobs. The neck doesn??t belong to the body originally, but these solid models were very similar, so it fits and looks perfect, I think the only difference with the neck is the fretboard mother of Pearl marking. 1967 Selmer branded ?Arizona?? guitar, made by Hofner in West Germany. There??s varnish checking, but no structural issues with the wood at all. No cracks, no splits, no separation. Back and sides are laminate, and I think the top is too, but I??m not 100% on that. This is one of Hofner's Master Guitars, and therefore of a very high quality built to compete directly with Martin and Gibson from the USA
The 497 has a solid spruce top, with back and sides of Rosewood, I am presuming Brazilian Rosewood which was freely available in the 50's and still being used by Martin until the late 60's. It is too stunning to be anything else! Also very hard to photograph as it is so glossy as you can see in the photos

Extremely rare and a nice part of history Hofner GV6 Amplifier from 1964, in perfect working order and for it's age in great condition, slight damage to the grill cloth in a couple of places but a new / old stock piece of grill cloth will be supplied with the amplifier if the new owner wishes to re-cover. Built in Germany in the 50's It plays very well considering it's age. It has a straight neck and good action, currently strung up with 11 gauge strings Minimal fret wear. I suspect new frets were installed at some point, All maple construction with a rsewood fingerboard It's missing the pickguard Overall a gorgeous, looked after vintage guitar that still plays well

This Hofner Senator was made in the Hofner factory in Germany in 1958
It has a lovely blonde original finish and is in a great condition with a
straight neck and a nice low action. (The photos of the back of the guitar
appear to be lighter than the front, but actually both are exactly the same)
At sometimes in the past the old tuners were replaced for very nice Klusons
and the Framus pickup and Framus bigsby fitted plus of course, a jackplug

Hi,
My Dads Hofner. Was always used so not a collectors piece to be hung in a cabinet I think. He told me he bought it in the early 60's after one of the Beatles (Lennon or Harrison) had one
Served him well with his band mates
Later on he had it registered with the owners club - see photo. Turns out to be older than thought - 1953!
I've tried too show model and serial number
I think he may have fitted a pick up at one time but I can't find that anywhere
