Vintage Gagliano (Hofner 173) Solidbody electric guitar! Powered by two Diamond logo Hofner Single Coil Pickups (That's right! These are single coils!) on a frame of solid wood body (not sure of species) and a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Has the original pots and switches which have been cleaned. Modifications include
-Ground wire added to tailpiece

For your consideration is this 1960 Hofner Club 60 in sunburst finish. Overall the guitar is in very good shape with only light to moderate play wear. The Toaster pickups sound really warm and vintage but have enough bite for many genres including rock. Playability is excellent with low action & light fret wear. Original bridge and pickguard in case

Here's a nice vintage 1966 Hofner 12 in above player condition. Sounds and plays nice. Truss rod has been replaced and operates smoothly. Three ferrules are missing where the tuning post comes up through the headstock. I'm Spring cleaning so I'll include them if I find them. Photos show the dings and scrapes with the law after 53 years on the planet. Original condition except for replaced truss rod, missing ferrules and an added strap button that has since broken off

The sale includes the 3-ply (white / black / white) pickguard and the thumb rest with the bolts holding it to the pickguard. There's some gunk on the pickguard. We have not tried to clean it off but assume that's possible

This is a neat 1965 Hofner 500 / 1 Violin Bass aka the ??Beatle?? Bass. It??s got a Hollow-body for that acoustic tonality. 1967 all original Vintage Hofner Bass. POT is from '67 The 147 denotes either the made in the 14th week or some say take the 14 divide by 2 and it tells you the month. The 7 denotes the year. It's an authentic hofner potentiometer. 1975 or 1976 Hofner 500 / 1 violin bass with some modifications and repairs. At some point the fretboard was made into a fretless, the pickguard was replaced, the neck was repaired at the heel, some of the binding was redone, and the heel cap is not original. I found this instrument recently and have done some work to clean it up. It plays really well. I have been over the entire instrument and here are my comments
1. I dressed the fretwires and most of the fine lines on the wires are gone exception is the fretwire adjacent to the nut
2. The fretboard - including the fretmarkers, are in near perfect condition. Neck has a seam down the middle that your thumb can feel
3. The tuners are in really nice shape, the guitar restrings and tunes ... more

This is a nice Hofner copy of the Beatle Bass Paul used. We believe it to be a Univox or Teisco 1960's. Electronics all work however the tone just has a little static noise when you turn it volume works great and so does the tone other than that drop of static while turning (probably a very good electronics cleaning is in order). 1959 Hofner committee Electric Guitar . Is in fairly good condition for
for it age but is showing some signs of wear mainly on front of the body where the finish has worn off by palm, fingers and picks. The pick guard is missing which left two small screw holes in the bottom rim .There is laquer checking and some nicks marks as you would expect on a 63 year old instrument and one small ding on the neck which I have tried to show in the photos. This gorgeous archtop has a maple fretboard and original maple bridge. It's very rare to find such an early example in amazing condition and 100% original. It has been modified with the addition of 2 split coil pick ups, a volume pot, a tone pot and a 6 way rotary switch which gives you every possible sound from the one guitar. Hofner Senator Brunette, made in Germany in 1963.
Repaired as the headstock broke off. I used glue, screws, and wood for support. In my experience, it won??t break again.
The repair was painted over, it looks and feels pretty good.
Apart from that, all the accessories were replaced, so it lost most of its collectible value, but it is still a very good looking German 60??s archtop guitar that sounds and plays amazing.
