What that would mean is that it was made in 1979 and got a late 78 neck. Everything matches up and this is the way that it came from the ... view on ebay

Like new. American Fender 66 JAZZ BASS From Wildwood Music Louisville Colorado. This was $2700 new. Serial number tells me it was manufactured 6 / 2023. Special ordered for a customer but it came in with one weird chip by the corner on the neck plate where the neck screws in & one chip by where the output jack plate screws in. Really weird to have a nice American Fender come in like that. You'll see both in photos. Not very noticeable but it would be easy to cover with a tiny drop of paint.... view on ebay

For sale : Original 1958 Fender Precision Bass
Restored about 12 years ago in California. This Bass has had quiet a few changes including a professional re-finish to the body and a pro re-fret. It was originally sunburst which is still some there in the pickup Calverty. Both the Neck and Body pencil dates are present, the pickguard is a replacement - I don't know if its Fender made.
The Original pickups with the raised A pole are in it but I assume they have been re-wound; the ... view on ebay

Here is very cool vintage Japanese MIJ E-serial Fender 1957 Reissue Precision Bass in naturally aged classic Two Tone Sunburst. It is from 1989 (pencil dated at FujiGen under the clear coat on the neck heel). These early FujiGen built P-basses are incredibly sought-after for good reason. It??s a PB57 with an alder body and maple neck and fingerboard. The two tone sunburst is ageing beautifully and is offset with the FujiGen white pickguard. Its feels very comfortable to play. I'm selling my long scale basses as I move over to medium and short scale. This bass is a heavy relic, hand made by Max Pagan in Italy. It is approximately eight years old. The pickup was hand wound by Curtis Novak in the US, and is a copy of a 1951 Precision Bass pickup. Body is Swamp Ash. Plays really well, no issues or defects. Comes with a hard case. Depending on your location I may be able to deliver with the buyer covering my petrol costs.... view on ebay

Fender Jazz Bass (USA 1978) + shaped Fender hard case. I have owned this bass since1982 (42 years) and have only gigged it about 10 times in 42 years! It is in stunning condition with light strap rash on the back (see photos). I would rate it 9 5 / 10 for condition). I treat my guitars / basses with the respect they deserve.

Hi,
Selling my 1978 Fender Precision Bass after over 20 years of ownership. Bass in popular Olympic White colour. Sounds amazing and clearly eclipses modern Fender bass guitars. CBS Fenders offer a good balance between vintage sound and pricepoint. Comes with an original Fender road case
It has plenty of cosmetic wear as indicated in the photos but looks vintage which in my opinion is what a guitar nearly 50 years old is all about. Appraisal from Jacksons Rare Guitars attached when ... view on ebay

Fender Precision, olympic white, made in USA 1978. If you're going to buy a P, why not do it properly, right? This creamy character has seen a few things over the decades, but it's aged pretty gracefully overall. The neck is on the fat side, but it balances nicely against the lightweight body and sits in the hand nicely. It's halfway between a C and a V profile, which sounds odd, but feels great in the hands. The original pickup and electronics are all intact, and it sounds fantastic. It's very ... view on ebay

Fender '62 Jazz, Vintage White, made in Japan 1982, JV Serial. The JV serial instruments were the first Fender branded instruments made outside USA, built to an incredible standard by the famed Fujigen Gakki plant in Japan. Fender had increasing quality issues after the sale to CBS in 1964, and by the late 70s instruments rolling out of Fullerton that were pretty hit and miss. The first batch of MIJ Fenders were met with elation in USA by Fender execs: these were the best made Fender instruments... view on ebay
