Vintage Hofner Committee Thinline 1965 (Brunette).
For sale is my rare vintage Hofner Committee Thinline from 1965. Serial 1461. Made in West Germany and distributed by Selmer Original condition with Selmer hardcase. Some minor wear as seen in photos. Things like laquer checking Things to note 18" lower bout (its a big guitar), ebony fingerboard, beautiful bird eye maple backNo repairs or neck resets that I'm aware of. Setup is quite low and nice Strung with 10-46 strings

OHV is offering our only accoustic fat body committee
For 60 years of age it is in remarkable condition. There are some scratches, in fact quite a few all around the body. Cosmetic and with the nicely darkened laquer they give the instrnent this wonderfull patina. Around the side srew of the pick guard is a little touched up area and on the backside bottom edge where the ornamentel inlay ends is a tiny patch of dopped out laquer. This is a very rare model of Hofner Committee, it could be one of the very first produced, it is either late 1953 or early 1954. The label is slightly stained but the serial number appears to be 2115. It has a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with ebony and abalone inlays, Birds Eye maple back and sides, spruce top. It has had a Seymour Duncan model SH2N jazz neck pick up fitted. It is in very nice condition and comes in a new de luxe jumbo hardshell case.... more

1959 Hofner committee Electric Guitar . Is in fairly good condition for
for it age but is showing some signs of wear mainly on front of the body where the finish has worn off by palm, fingers and picks. The pick guard is missing which left two small screw holes in the bottom rim .There is laquer checking and some nicks marks as you would expect on a 63 year old instrument and one small ding on the neck which I have tried to show in the photos. An early Hofner Committee archtop from 1957 / 8 has the original pickup , switch , strap and lead (when i can find it), Comes with the original hard case , and also a lined newer one (illustrated) . . could deliver nearby, or even further afield by courier , but regrettably i cannot post... more

Vintage 1960 Hofner Committee Thin Thinline Sunburst Electric Guitar *1960s
This is stupidly early Hofner Committee - one of the first with a truss rod. I found this unused in a loft for many years - it was dusty as anything but the dust has preserved it incredibly well. After a good clean I can now tell it is a 1960 Hofner Committee Thinline from 1960. It has been exceptionally well looked after, with very little to report. The original pickups sound awesome and the neck is extremely sturdy... more

A pre-owned item, this Hofner Committee bears the scars of a couple of repairs over the years and is wearing a non-original set of machine heads. But it's looking good for nearly 60 years old!
Thanks to the spruce top and birds-eye maple back and sides (which are visually stunning), this guitar has a very bright tone further enhanced by the Bigsby vibrato unit and metal bridge ]]... more

In very good vintage condition with the original case. Very nice playing condition. No buzzes. All original. Small glue splodge on the pickguard. Can probably be removed. (See photos)
