If you are looking at this you know what it is. You will be hard pressed to find another one in this condition. This was recently obtained from an estate sale of a deceased musician and it appears to have been taken care of, however it does show its age as a 50+ year old instrument and has some finish imperfections including some clear coat chipping on the back headstock, some scratches on the serial number plate, and the back cloth snap cover has some fraying as shown in the pictures. I have had this bass for decades, kept in the case and only taken out on rare occasions at home

Great action & playabilty, small neck with a great tone, low action. Before listing I toggled all the switches back and forth and sprayed lightly with Deoxit , the G tuner and distortion came on as it should , controls seemed to work well, but you should expect them to be a little wonky if you rarely play it . Bass is missing original pickguard (we are trying to look for one in the meantime). Then as seen in pictures there are cracks in the clear coat NOT THE WOOD. Electronic are 100% fully functional and sound warm and thumpy!

Okay. This is my Frankenstein bass. Everyone has one. I swapped out the Vox neck for a fretless neck I purchased online. It required some finesse on my luthier's part to pull it together. Sadly, the decorations and artwork are mine

1966 Vox Bassmaster electric bass guitar UK JMI. Unusual dark Sunburst finish. This has not been played so much and consequently is in pretty clean condition for its age. Still has the original co-ax output jack - you'll need the correct lead to use this bass. Complete and all-original. Five-digit serial number on headstock reverse. Neck date is December 1965.

Vintage Vox Clubman 1 bass guitar
Made in England in the 60??s era
Nicely serviced and ready to play. Flat-wound strings on.
Seems to be a rare model, I mostly see the Clubman 2.

PLEASE READ:
- The original Jack plugs on these were different, so a modern Jack was adapted. This needed to be done. By doing this, the previous owner drilled new holes into the pickguard, which were covered from the inside with plastic. It doesn??t look that bad, but better to point it out. ... more

To the best of my knowledge this instrument was made in the Matsumoko factory in the 1980's. In addition to the maple neck and fretboard, I believe the body to be maple too, explaining the substantial mass. The pickup ought be DiMarzio, I did not want to take it out but If you want me too I will. The bridge is an Ibanez, something I did not notice for years

This is an original 1960s Italian Vox (EME) wiring loom for the teardrop-shaped Stinger bass. The components included are three Italian Lesa potentiometers (2 x 100k, 1 x 500k), output jack, three-way switch and two Arco brand capacitors 0 047 and 0 10. In good working order. The pots are held in place by two metal spacer bars soldered onto their backs. One has come unsoldered, but otherwise all in good original condition.... more
