Vintage guitars for sale: Gibson acoustic guitars

This 1940 L-5 was owned by Al Valenti. Valenti was a professional guitarist for nearly his entire life, gigging for around 80 years! In the 1930s he was reknown as a virtuoso and was the first endorser of D'Angelico guitars. Following his death in the 2010s his family sold off some of his guitars. Extremely rare 1978 Gibson mk81. Based on the serial number I'm pretty sure 1978 is the correct year . this guitar had a very limited number produced and you don't see them too often. This b-15 has only had 1 owner and it was hardly used. Gibson is in excellent working condition with straight neck. The action is low and comfortable to play. This 1953 Gibson L-5CN is one of just four shipped by Gibson that year. At the time this was the top of the line, most expensive 17-inch archtop made by Gibson, due to the cutaway and the necessity for the absolute best woods because of the natural finish. A beautiful example from the peak period of acoustic archtop production out of Kalamazoo. This is an early "Advanced" version of the L-5, which had just increased in size from a 16" lower bout to a 17" lower bout in the year before this guitar was built. At this time the bracing pattern was changed to an X braced instrument, as opposed to the previous parallel bracing pattern. This is a Gibson B15 all mahogany guitar with a Gibson serial # built in the Kalamazoo, Mi. plant in either 1965 or 1968. During this time the Kalamazoo plant was also producing Epiphone guitars. Up for sale is an absolutely stunning 1942 (1936-1942 era) Gibson L-0 in its original black finish. The FON on this guitar reads 7724B with II in red pencil. The specs of this guitar are essentially the same as the L-00 but with top and back binding on the body. Modifications include an over-sprayed headstock face with a likely re-done painted logo. Vintage 1930s Cromwell Gibson Kalamazoo Model G4 Sunburst Archtop Guitar Cased
I was recently contacted by the daughters of the long-term owner on this guitar in Liverpool. Their father had had it since they could remember and he'd recently passed meaning it was time to find it a new home. This one is a really early example of a Cromwell G4 made by Gibson in the 1930s. According to the serial # this guitar was made on Sept. 7, 1974 & is Number #337
It plays excellent. Neck is straight. Frets are good!
New set of strings are installed & she is ready to make some beautiful music
There are some minor dings & scratches throughout but nothing really noticeable.

Made in the USA in the early 1970's (upon my research, it was 1970), this is the short-lived revised model of the J-50 with the dreadnought shape that stepped away from the J-45 style design. Spruce top with mahogany back and sides, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, it weighs just under 2kg's. 43mm nut width. It plays very comfortably with a slim 60's style neck profile.
