This J-40 project has a collapsed neck block and a myriad of other issues. The body has the usual 70's Gibson
stuff going on. Binding rot, collapsed neck block, ridiculously high action, etc. etc
The neck has the original frets, and they are in fair shape. The neck will have to be reset and the block will need heavy repairs. Likely requiring the whole guitar to be taken apart and reassemble.

Up for sale is a 1965 Gibson LG-1 acoustic guitar. This guitar is in fair to good condition. It does show normal signs of age and use, including scratches, dents and dings. The finish on this guitar is crackling, over most of the guitar. There are small holes on the front of the body where I suspect the pick guard use to be. The tuners have also been changed out, and the original tuner holes are exposed. There are no cracks to the body or necks. There is light fret wear.

Gibson B-25 made in Kalamazoo plant in 1969. Serial number 907716. it's a standard B25 model (natural top) ladder braced, with mahogany sides, back and neck and at that time a narrow 1 7 / 16" nut width. the bridge was repaired at some point (seems flat, maybe shaved) and the pickguard may be off of a Martin. This is a beautiful thinline hollow body guitar and the black pickguard / housing is not cracked which is rare in this model I do not know if the case is original or not. Good condition 1950 Gibson J-50 in natural. This example obviously has some stories, but is a cannon nonetheless! Replacement bridge is stable, with intonation not being a problem. Replacement tuners hold tune well, and are not bent. Guitar has had a recent neck reset, and the action is nice and low. This is an original vintage Gibson LG-0 guitar made in USA circa 1967. Mahogany neck, back and sides. Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. It's in average vintage condition for its age. Lots of scratches, nicks and dings, but NO CRACKS. The truss rod works, and the guitar plays well with comfortable (not low, but average for a vintage acoustic) action. Seriously great sounding 1966 Gibson J-50 in its original Natural finish. This example has clearly been well loved over its 52 year life. Neck angle is great with tons of life in the frets. Huge and open sounding and has a nice active pickup system installed. Overall in good condition with lots of play wear, finish checking, dings, dents and a few large top cracks that have been repaired. Fabulous guitar, freshly fitted with Gibson light gauge 80 / 20 Bronze wrapped strings
It took a bit of digging to find the serial numbered date (a complicated system of numbering evolution), the result is "made in Kalamazoo in 1950"
The action is really good, the manufacture is amazing for a 75 year old and after several hours of cleaning it is coming up with nice patinated glossy finish

Amazing Gibson lg1 from 1951
You can see from the photos this has not spent its life in the case.
It??s had some repairs to both sides, look like wood cracks that have been repaired and all looks to a great standard.
The playability is great - the guitar came from a pro studio. The action at the 12th fret is 2 5mm on the low E and 2mm on the high E. The saddle is 2mm high
The frets are in good shape, re-fretted but with sensible modern frets
