This is a vintage Eko Ranger VI acoustic guitar that was made during the 1960's in Recanati, Italy. It has a spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Additionally, it has been set up with new D'Addario EJ16 phosphor bronze light gauge strings. Playability is smooth and easy due to its low action and good neck angle. I bought this on here about 6-7 years ago from a Luthier in Manchester, it was listed as being an 'Early 1970's' model. It had been given a proper set up. Spruce was given as the wood used for the top. No reason to doubt any of that

The overall construction of the guitar is in solid condition but it does require TLC. There are cracks to the lacquer at the headstock and more significant areas of damage around the edges of the body. Owed for about 50 years from new. Very good condition for age. There is a nick on the top of the head, some marks and varnish cracks either side of the nut (see photos). There is also a screw missing on one of the machine heads (see photo). Needs a new set of strings as the haven't been changed for a couple of years.... more
