Vintage 1960s EKO Ranger XII 12 String Acoustic Guitar with the trapeze tailpiece - Made In Italy. The guitar is built like a tank and in nice condition with the typical ??cracks?? in the nitrocellulose finish of these old guitars (see pics).

From the interweb it appears Genesis, Jimmy Page and other musicians used a Ranger XII guitar. This model is popular enough that it has been reissued - get yourself the real deal!

This is a cool vintage instrument. We just put fresh strings on it. Sounds and plays so good! Straight neck. Fully functional. Made in Italy. It has electronics. The jack has something a little off in that if you jiggle the cord sometimes the sound will cut in and out. It could be the tip needs pressed in more. Simple fix. Sounds good as an acoustic. This guitar has some dings and scratches over the years giving it character, but nothing major. Someone will love this blast from the past!

Lovely Eko ranger 6 string acoustic guitar for sale. I bought it with a headstock repair where it has been dropped so please look in the pictures to see all the damage cased by this, there is a crack in the body right next to where the neck mounts, a crack right at the headstock and also 2 very small ones on the body right next to the neck. Great unmistakable sounding guitar
The neck was completely reset and realigned by the luthier to allow a very low action and great playability. So the 3 mm space between the final part of the fretboard and the soundhole of the guitar that you can see in the photo is due to this work. These guitars are built like tanks and very robust. Quite heavy too due to the tough construction.

this is a vintage Eko Ranger 12 string guitar from the 70s, unsure of specific year, fitted with sound hole pickup and volume and tone knobs

acoustically its Very loud and jangly due to its big body and plugged in you can get some nice warm tones too

the action can be adjusted by screws on the bridge and at the moment is set up nice and low which makes the guitar very playable

as you can see the guitar is missing the original pick guard

A lovely example of a vintage 1st iteration 1960??s EKO ranger

The guitar sounds absolutely amazing and apart from some clouding to the edges of the finish around the body it??s in excellent condition. It??s been professionally set up and plays beautifully.

This version of the ranger can be seen being used in recordings by Jimmy Page amongst others. Barely any fret wear. Fresh strings and a padded gig bag supplied and will be posted well packaged

This is a nice example for its age the body is good no damage apart from light scratches, all the winders are good nothing missing, The back of the neck has some light Hair lines marks in the varnish there does not seem the effect the neck, but may need some attention

A vintage EKO Ranger 12 string guitar; looks to be a 1970s version but no exact date present
The overall construction of the guitar is in solid condition but it does require TLC. There are cracks to the lacquer at the headstock and more significant areas of damage around the edges of the body. The saddle is warped and would need replacing along with a more comprehensive setup. There is light rusting to many of the metal parts, including the tuning pegs. Eko Ranger 6 acoustic guitar. Made in Italy in, I believe, early 70??s.
The tuners were replaced, and the top was refinished. The rest is all original
It plays nicely at low action, the neck is straight, new strings on.
Frets have minimal wear, and fretboard is a bit more worn, but still decent.
Sounds and plays great!

Eko Ranger 12. Gold label in sound hole. Gold headstock decal. Brilliant sound and set up is very playable
I have recently learnt that this is actually one of the rarer models made from 1979-1981 that were only made in Recanti, Italy. This Vintage Eko 12 String Acoustic Guitar. Dates back to the early 70??s. It features a Spruce top, mahogany back and sides and mahogany neck. The guitar has been preserved well for its age and is in very good condition. There a few chips in the lacquer on top body binding. Nothing that affects sound, the wood underneath or the performance. Lovely neck and beautiful 12 string sound. Nice low action. Plays well. Comes with a brand new Gator hard case

Here we have a great condition 1969 eko ranger acoustic guitar
You just don't get guitars like these any more as the trees used to make them are not allowed to be cut down
Only with guitars made of the correct woods and aged and seasoned can you get that wonderful tone
This one in particular is in excellent condition for the age of 55 years, it does have a crack across the bridge (shown in photo) which has not moved or changed in the 18 years that I've owned it

Here is my Eko Ranger 12 String. The label doesn't mention the year, though these guitars mostly seem to be from 1960's / 1970's - it doesn't have a scratch plate and the label says it's Italian made, so maybe that gives some clue?
