Such a sweet guitar. In great shape. Sounds and plays incredible. When I got the guitar, the neck pickup had been swapped fairly sloppily and it was out of phase in the middle. I installed a vintage dimarzio humbucker and cleaned up the solder job to the wiring harness. It now sounds incredible and the original bridge pickup and the changed but vintage neck pickup match well. Extremely rare 1978 Gibson mk81. Based on the serial number I'm pretty sure 1978 is the correct year . this guitar had a very limited number produced and you don't see them too often. Almost never in fact. This particular guitar is in great shape compared to others  I've seen. There is a few dings on it. Some of the binding is lifting but not too bad. This is a 1978 body with EMG active pickups. It has vintage saddles and a really low action. The neck is a 64 carve but I don't know any more than that. The frets are good with minimal wear. It's a comfortable neck, not too thick and it feels good in the hands. The string hight is set very low and the strings are slinky. Just the way I like it. In very good condition, some buckle rash on the rear, a few bumps and marks as expected on a 47 year old guitar. It is all original including the superb Super 88 pickups. Stunning vintage 1978 Greco SA900 Tobacco Burst. Hand built at the legendary FujiGen plant in Japan. Founder guitars were made in the late 1970s in Japan. The brand was was owned by Daion and distributed by Rokkoman. Fender Precision, olympic white, made in USA 1978. If you're going to buy a P, why not do it properly, right? This creamy character has seen a few things over the decades, but it's aged pretty gracefully overall.
