pre-owned:1984 gibson flying V guitar husk project need parts and maybe paint the neck has been sanded and is in great condition. working truss smooth both ways the frets are in great condition played real great when it was together, i wanted to paint it but it didnt happen. at one time it had factory tremolo I got it with the tonepros bridge shown +included and the tail piece with the studs and you also get the back cavity cover plate, some screws to hold it on husk is just over 5 lbs ... more

Up for sale is a 1984 Gibson Flying V in Pearl White. This is one of my favorite finishes Gibson offered in the '80s and this one has aged to a killer yellow hue. Please see our photos! This one comes to us in good condition. There are lots of dings and dents and some splotches in the finish where the color did not darken evenly either age. This is an original set of 6 Gibson Schaller nickel plated 5 / 8 inch guitar tuner bushings. These were found on many Gibson guitars from the 70's to early 80's. They usually came on the guitars with the Schaller made "Floral" tuners, but I've seen these bushings on some guitars with the Kluson made "Gibson Deluxe" tuners. These are in good shape. Tarnish / patina can be cleaned, but I purposely left it on.

The back might be one of my favorite faces of it. There is a super minimal amount of worming where buckle rash would be but its only visible in certain lights. The finish on it just looks beautiful though

Check out this cool '80s Gibson Flying V! It's a blast to play and sounds awesome. This guitar rocks a factory-installed Gibson Super Tune / Kahler Tremolo Bridge and Locking Nut. Some online forums say that only around 500 Gibson-stamped tremolos were made, so this one is truly a gem. This Gibson Flying V2 was made in the USA in 1980. It shows play wear but no structural damage and is in very nice overall condition. It has a metallic red finish which is very rare for this model. The guitar is all original except 1 knob and the strap buttons. It has been pro-setup and plays great and comes with the original case

Here??s a rare hard-tail 1984 Gibson Flying V??most of them had a Kahler tremolo. It has DiMarzio pickups, so if you want the sound of 1980s thrash and metal, this is for you. It has real relicing from 41 years of play. The neck is a 1958 v profile; it??s absolutely huge, but the previous owner shaved the finish off it, and if you play it, you??ll see why. This is a matched set of 1960's Gibson reflector knobs - gold knobs with gold reflectors in the tops. Structurally a solid, very good set!

This is a red 1984 USA flying V, see the pictures for condition, I think from the serial number it's a Nashville guitar. for a 40 year old it's in great shape. Plays as you'd expect, and comes with a good quality, new, V soft case. almost zero fret wear, looks as though it's not been played much at all. There are small marks on the body as pictured and the shoulders and tip of the back of the headstock.
