1965 Hofner Senator, thinline cutaway blond. Outstanding condition with it's fitted Selmer case. The pickup has got weak over the years but I'll include the P90 I've been meaning to fit only at 79 I'm losing interest in my collection so it never got done. This Hofner Senator is a high-quality acoustic guitar designed for right-handed musicians. Classic 6-string configuration. After some research i finally nailed it down, it is the senator as it says on the label. The S for selma company the E1 for electrics the model is 5124 / 05 the number 544 is the production number off the line. The pick up was redone by HOFNER to keep originality of the part there was a long wait 6mths and a cost of £120 00, the headstock features the original mother of pearl not the plastic which is on some that where produced in that era .On the back of the headstock is factory written in ... more

It's a well-loved guitar but needs some attention, hence the low price, compared to others on here It's been modified for a lefty but wouldn't take much (new nut) to change it back The neck has been reset and re fretted (by a professional luthier) and it plays ok (great sound!) but could do with setting up and new strings There's plenty of signs of wear, scratches, dings and cracked varnish... more

Nice example of an old guitar , some slight wear to top, missing a few tiny screws on string compensator and truss rod cover .
Only one strap toggle .
Neck has slight relief , low action .
Not turned truss rod as I don??t have the correct tool .
New adagio strings , copper wound 10-47 .
