The acoustic at one point was routed for someone to drop a loaded pickguard in it so it could be an electric acoustic
The bridge has been repaired at some point, but as you can see in the pictures, the peg holes will need some routing because some of the pegs can't fit in their place now
This guitar is definitely a good project guitar, but it's just gonna need some good tlc to get up and running again

My husband purchased this when he was a military dependent living in Wiesbaden, Germany. He was a college student playing in a German Rock Band. I think he purchased this not long after arriving in Germany, the summer of 1965.

This model is rare in general, but this version with the painted on F holes and orange finish alá the Gretsch Nashville is not only painfully cool, but outrageously unusual. Framus Starbass 5 / 156-62 von 1964, Nummer 15981-63C, vor gut 15 Jahren bei Ebay gekauft. Damals hatte er noch einen DIN Stecker, was nervte, so wurde ein Klinkenstecker eingebaut (siehe Foto). Es funktionieren nicht alle Pick Up Wahlmöglichkeiten und der Bass ist insgesamt auch leiser als andere Bässe. Gemäss Seriennummer stammt die Gitarre wohl aus dem Jahre 1959 (D59). Sie ist in Anbetracht ihres Alters in einem sehr guten Zustand. Natürlich sind diverse Dings und Dongs vorhanden (siehe Fotos) und auch der Lack weist feine Risse auf. Dies verleiht der Gitarre aber Charme und beeinträchtigt den tollen Look nicht. Framus Gitarre 12 Saiten - 06011 Dix 12 ist ein hochwertiges Akustikgitarrenmodell, das die Marke Framus bekannt gemacht hat.
Das Modell wurde ab ca. 1970 gebaut. Ende der 70er Jahre wurde die Serie wieder eingestellt. Die Gitarre ist demnach 40-50 Jahre alte.
Korpus und Steg sind in gutem Zustand. Es gibt ein paar kleine Kratzer und eine ca 0, 06cm breite Delle am unteren Rand (siehe Foto)

ich verkaufe hier meine treue Framus Gitarre aus der Legacy Serie. Die Gitarre ist in gutem Zustand. Gebrauchsspuren, wie feine Kratzer im Lack sind aber vorhanden, sie hat auch schon den ein oder anderen Gig gesehen. Leider haben sich irgendwann an der Unterseite des Halses im Binding auch kleine Bläschen gebildet. Ich habe versucht einen Teil der Bläschen so gut es geht auf dem letzten Bild festzuhalten. This is a lovely archtop with a 17-inch body, yet it issurprisingly light-weight and plays really well and sounds great. All thehardware and pickguard are original. The rosewood fingerboard is smooth and lovelyto play and the frets are good. It is a StandardModel 21 Deluxe guitar, made in West Germany by Framus for UK importers anddistributors Boosey & Hawkes form the mid-1950s
Perhaps sadly for the guitar though, the show-stopper is apparentlythe original 1940s P90 pickup that is fitted... more

One used and uncleaned 1960s FRAMUS control switch plate which looks like it came from a mid 60s Strato de luxe. I am sure it would polish up.

Zenith archtop acoustic guitar. Made by Framus in Germany (50??s / 60??s)
PLEASE READ: the seller I got it from mentioned that the headstock appeared to have been repaired. I??ve noticed it look weird on the union between the headstock and the neck. I??m assuming at some point the headstock came off and it was re-glued. Typische 60er Jahre Wandergitarrevon Framus Allerdings mit einem Truss rod, oder Stellstab und einem Hals zum Wechseln, etwas was eine Spezialität von Framus ist, und einfach sehr praktisch, denn man kann den Halswinkel durchunterlegen optimal einstellen
