Vintage Guitar magazine places the 1936-44 D-45 at number #2 (after the 1950s Gibson Explorer) in it's most valuable vintage guitar list. It was reissued in 1968, and these later D-45s are still very fine guitars, though without the price tag of the 1930s examples.
