I purchased this guitar online in 2019 and purchased all the parts separately for it. The original pancake pickup was broken so I had my luthier replace it with a Gibson Mini-Humbucker, but used the original pancake pickup cover. I powered her up with a Variac and she Works! Pots need cleaned of course, could possibly need some caps replaced but not noticably noisy. I'm selling As Is. I'm not even going to clean. Bought at a flea market many years ago, she worked then and still works. Germanium Transistors for a Unique sound. Do your own research on this vintage treasure. Very clean and all original (including case and trem bar) late 1960s Kay Vanguard II. Almost no finish wear, and just a couple of minor dings along the edges. Finish is rather ??satin??, however, which likely represents light surface oxidizing over the decades. I had to do a little work to get it playing well; to remedy some amateurish fret lowering (ahhhhh!). The guitar has a very minor rise at the body joint (common with these), but a former owner badly mangled the top three frets in response.... more
