1975 all original Mustang bass in excellent vintage condition
Scale length is 30 inches
??C?? shaped neck with 1 5 / 8 inch nut, depth at the first fret is .87 and .96 at the 12th fret, 7 25 inch radius
Frets are in excellent condition except for a few small divots on the first three frets, plenty of material left
Guitar weighs 7 87 pounds and has a lot of subtle checking in the finish and a scratch on the back

This is a 1973 Fender Mustang Bass. As evidenced by some remaining paint in its neck pocket, this one was originally Competition Burgundy Blue, but was stripped and stained and refinished to a dark natural wood. It's pickguard and pickup cavity were long ago enlarged to fit a set of Bill Lawrence Blade Precision pickups. They sound awesome and the change sort of turns the bass into a short scale P bass! This is a 1977 Fender Mustang Bass with a natural finish. This is a cool one. It's pickguard and pickup cavity were long ago enlarged to fit a set of DiMarzio Precision pickups. They sound awesome and the change makes you feel like you're playing a short scale P bass! Its body / string ferrules are non original, but the rest of its hardware is. Vor mehr als 15 Jahren habe ich diesen Bass vom Erstbesitzer gekauft. Der Bass wurde viel gespielt (siehe Bild von der linken Halsseite!) und funktioniert auch heute noch wunderbar, die Bünde sind noch lange nicht abgespielt. Lediglich die Hülse für die E Saite auf der Rückseite wurde erneuert (siehe Bild), ansonsten ist das Instrument in absolutem Originalzustand (3, 5 KG!). This 1966 example of the iconic Fender Mustang Bass was the first student-level bass produced by Fender as well as the last production bass designed by Leo during his tenure at the company. Targeted towards younger players, the Mustang Bass offered a shorter 30-inch scale length as well as a lower price-point than the Precision or Jazz Basses of the mid-'60s.
