This example is probably the best playing example we have ever had. The action is low, neck angle is good and the playability is excellent. Set up with flat wounds, too!

This guitar is in great condition with only some light wear. Most notably, this guitar has a few faint scuffs here and there over the body, as well as some light strumming scratches on the pickguard and a bit of faint tarnishing on the hardware. This is a bit of a strange guitar. I think it started out as a white Special that was converted to two humbuckers. I got it in poor condition about 25 years ago and refinished with tung oil and Behlen's musical Instrument lacquer. It looks like someone routed out the middle and put a piece of wood in then routed for humbuckers. They did a good job looks like routed from factory. Body Fender Stratocaster del 63' Pre CBS ,SRV Style, , 2 lbs, 1 890 kg, purchased in the USA from William Pandolfi. The body is light alder. No routing, no modifications. Just an old sunburst. I bought it for the woods, not the color. You can always redo the color. But finding an old pre-CBS body that's more difficult. There are pegs, all the signs of old workmanship. Here we have a beautifully refinished Gibson Melody Maker, complete with a stunning dark Brazilian Fretboard and the original pair of pickups.
This is all mahogany and rings like a bell and has the earlier, larger vintage Melody Maker pickups which are a lot closer to the P90 sound than the later smaller pickups Gibson use post 1965

Selling my 1963 USA Fender Stratocaster (refin), which has been recently refreshed by a professional luthier (detailed invoice included).
It was originally restored by the then well-known luthier John Birch back in 1972.
