Cool vintage guitar in playable shape with a very vintage steel tailpiece style sound. It??s definitely not perfect condition and I am listing as fair. Looks to be all original. Back and bottom side seam needs attention, as its loose. Fretboard looks to be lifting from neck a bit. Neck has a slight bow even with truss rod all the way tightened. Yes, yes, the one seen in photos of George is actually a couple years older and lacks the adhesive attached ??pickguard??. However, these little buggers definitely have that British Invasion thing going on. Of course, they have to play decently?? It??s in decent shape for its age. Doesn??t play great as expected for a guitar like this. okay in the lower frets, but frets out on the higher frets with any sort of lower action. The neck angle is adjustable with a flat head screw so no complicated neck reset is needed. That being said the neck looks to have a big bump at the 12th fret which is the reasoning for the fretting out. Egmond Typhoon bass guitar with gig bag. Egmond bass guitars are fantastic for recording. The pickups sound microphonic and punchy. They are a great alternative to the Fender Precision or other modern bass guitars, which don??t always punch through in the mix and give that vintage 1960s feel. this is an old egmond guitar , I think it's 50s could be 60s made in holland
the guitar plays and sounds great
there are a few issues ,, ,, there is a fret missing on the 13th and the frets themselves could do with looking at on and around the 10th fret, .. The high E and A leveling issue I would say ,, , i could fix it myself but due to the age I wouldn't want to devalue the guitar a collector would probably be horrified the fret edges could do with a polish

l have for auction a beautiful vintage 1950s Famos archtop six string guitar believed to be made in Holland by the Egmond guitar company. Finished in a stunning tobacco burst, it's quite a rare model, particularly in this condition
Unusually, it has two 'f' holes and a central round sound hole. It has a new set of strings and has a nice bright sound. The bridge is a replacement as it didn't have one when l acquired it
