It was inevitable, they were extremely sensitive from aging and they fell apart at the slightest touch as well as being bumped from travel. Headstock has some grooves in the side. Very clean example of this classic from 1978.
Tuners are original. Pots are all original dated 5th week of '78. Pickups and other electrics are all original. Comes with original chainsaw case
Some light buckle rash which you can see in the pictures. There is a light mark on the headstock just below the Gibson logo, which you see in the pictures.

Very reluctant sale of my 1983 Gibson Les Paul Custom. As the serial number proves, this guitar was made in Nashville and it plays beautifully and effortlessly. The frets are all in superb condition, the pickups and toggle switch all perfect, volume and tone knobs work without issue.

Guitar made in 1980 in Nashville when Gibson worked with a quality that is now difficult to find. Please look closely at the photos, the Les Paul Pro is a Standard with Ebony fretboard and the famous P90s, picking all the resonance and sustain of this 45 years old wood. 70's mid-narrow neck with wide and flat original frets of this period, low action on this fast neck. I think this has to be my absolute favourite pre-1993 Les Paul Classic of all the ones we have ever had in at GSG. It is the perfect 1960 reissue in my eyes. This is an excellent solid case with original key. There is some Tolex edge lift as can be seen in the picks. I originally bought to house a 1970s Japanese LP. However, I ended up giving that guitar to my son but kept the case. I??m not using so time to move it on to someone looking to match a vintage LP with an original case.
