This is a 1958 5F8 Tweed Twin chassis. Serial #A00053
Obviously, its pretty rough, but it works, and it screams.
When I got it (chassis only), it had been neglected for years and was a mess. It needed a full cap job, new 3 prong cable, fuse holder, a few of the pots replaced, 1 input jack, the rectifier socket, and little bit of wiring cleanup work.

This is a one of a kind and a very special 1958 Les Paul Gold Top. Best sounding late 50's paf guitar I have ever played! Maybe it's because it only weighs 8 1 pounds? Ultra light and resonant. Here??s a very rare one. One of the first double cutaway Juniors from 1958. Only a few were made with the enlarged pick guard like this
It has the earliest serial number I??ve seen on a double cutaway Les Paul Junior.
The pick up may have been rewound as the solder joint looks re-done. The pots have 1957 date codes.

Offering a 1958 Gretsch electric body and neck for potential project. A luthier friend of mine was in middle of working on this when he lost his place of work. I don't have another way to finish it so am selling it. My plan was to convert this in to a 6120 with similar specs to Pete Townshend's Gretsch that he used on so many amazing Who tunes including "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "Baba O'Reilly " . Epiphone by Gibson 1958 Korina Explorer in used but excellent condition.
Just fitted a new ABR-1 type bridge which has made a difference to the tone and playability and the intonation is more accurate.
Gibson Burstbucker 2 & 3 pickups which give it an authentic Paf like sound but can handle high gain too.
The gold plating has started to wear off a little in places but it gives the guitar a more ?vintage?? look.
It has a mark on the neck that??s in the wood and can??t be felt ... more
