Kay Value Leader K1962 K1963 K100 series of electric guitar truss rod cover circa 1965. These were used on a variety of Kay guitars from the early and mid-1960s. It is white and shows wear from its 60+ years worth of use

Nice playing and sounding Value Leader with a trio 3 of pancake pickups Old Kraftsman guitars were originally sold through the Spiegel catalog, rebranded from the Kay factory.
In very good used, fully functional condition
Light and resonant thanks to its chambered body, this is the fanciest version with its three pickups, individual volume and tone knobs for each pickup, the pickup switch selects between neck, middle, bridge or all three

Made by the late, great Kay Musical Instrument Company in Chicago, Illinois in about 1960s, it's a Kay Value Leader electric guitar, model 6533. It can be considered an acoustic-electric guitar or a hollow body electric guitar.
15-3 / 4" lower bout. 1-5 / 8" nut. 25-3 / 4" scale length. 14-fret neck. Rosewood fretboard. Brass frets. One single coil pickup. Volume and tone controls. Kluson Deluxe tuners. Front and back binding.
The pickup and controls are tested and work. ... more

Preownd. issues: Small crack on head stock (see pics), one tuning peg is bent (see pic), needs two knobs and a cleaning inside and out. Good news, the electronics do work and is in a payable condition but could use a good going over. Please see pics for more details.... more
